Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

A pedestal mount I made of a Lake Perris male spawner. Fish was about 10.5 inches.

The artists on this site are second to none.  Very nice.

What did this fish weigh Jeff? It looks VERY healthy and your work is stunning, the detail you created is off the charts good IMO.

Beautiful mount, Jeff!

That looks great! I haven't seen a pedestal mount before, but I believe now that I prefer it over a "flat" mounting. Very cool!

Well I tried to charge more, but what that did is took away potential customers.  They went to a less-expensive taxidermist.  Plus I do not like working with fiberglass.

What an awesome mount and good fish too. You're obviously a true artist but you could easily get  $100-150 on top of what you were charging Jeff for this fish and probably all your other fish. That thing is tall for a 10.5in bluegill.

Thanks Cal.  It's fiberglass reproduction or replica as everyone seems to call them now.  I made a plaster mold of the original dead fish, then made a fiberglass "cast" from the mold.   I no longer am in the taxidermy business because I didn't make much of a profit, for all the time I put into each mount.  My price in 2007 was $15.00 an inch with a 15 inch minimum.
