Here's the NCWRC ramp at the "Frying Pan" on the Alligator River.......This is 75 miles south of my home in Elizabeth City......

This is the launch I use to go to Frying Pan on the Alligator River Dennis....I've had black bears hanging around as I launch my boat here....a remot section of the Alligator National Wildlife Refuge.....

You're into the great outdoors as soon as you shove off from this launch. Many black bears in this swamp, Bald Eagles and yes, Gators and Cottonmouths as well , so I wouldn't deploy the float tube in here. The gills I catch here are the very dark gills, lots of purple on them. Just another fantastic place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle of our busy world! This is on the Alligator River in Northeastern North Carolina......
