Rex, thanks for the heads-up on the source for the gloves!  I'll have to get some ASAP.

Nice bugs.  I'm still fishing, although not for Sunnies much.  I probably won't start tying for next year for another month or so.  At least I'm going to have a winter hobby that will still let me focus on fishing.

Chewy skin heh? Hope it's not something I will be carving out of my own blubber LOL Thanks Rick.

Rex, that's what I'm using. I'm using an abandoned pair of latex dishwashing gloves from the wash room. It does have a very subtleness to it. Just wondering if there's anything else out there that can create that chewing softness of a waxworm. It does make a perfect mealworm. I wonder..maybe a rubberband internal, and a dishwashing layer outside?

Mike,  glad to know I'm not the only one with a tying addiction.  Luckily there is a support group on here, but I think it works just the opposite of AA's philosophy,  it makes us want to tie more.  Leo,  I found thick latex dishwashing gloves at the dollar tree stores that work perfect for waxworms.  They were a natural flesh color and the perfect thickness for making the segmented look.
