Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Thought I would see if I could come up with a fly-rod version of Dick's "jellys". They are all size 10 hooks, two are 2X hooks. They just look too good not to give them a try. These are not tied on 'jig-heads', just standard fly hooks with a bead head..............Don

I like yours to Don. The way I came up with the name was when over seas we use to swim and we could see all these tentacles going by you. It was small jellyfish so I made the tentacles long so they would be as long or longer than the body. It was only an idea and I had fun with it. Since then I have done an upgrade and I think I'm quitting at that so now what you see is what you get. Don have fun with it as I have. We are only limited if we think we are.

Yeah, those look good Dick,  I can see I need to "tweek" mine a little bit. Looks like I need to use thinner legs, more flash and maybe a little more pearl chenille. I can't wait to try these on a couple of my favorite rocky-points.

Thanks for posting................Don

I did tie up a couple jelly flies. My bead selection needs worked on so I only have then in 2 colors till of coarse I fined me some beads of another color. These are tied on #8 Mustad hooks 3261.

I made a couple Freshwater Jellyfish in a fly but my bead selection isn't to great.
