Thanks Dick.......the Flier fishing on the Albemarle sound is rivaling any period I've ever seen but I can say I'm targeting them more often because of the quality........it's basically a sunfish that hits regularly all winter long including low oxygen periods.......soon they will make their way to spawning zones and you can catch a hundred or more in a spot the size of your dining room table........a gentleman once told me he had some aggressive fish around his dock but he didn't know what they were......I started fishing around his dock and discovered it was big trophy class fliers.......he had no idea........I gave him a handful of grass shrimp jigs and offered some advice and he has been catching them there for more than six years.......so with him releasing them all because he doesn't like to eat fish and my monthly stop......we are snagging some giants!
