Do you love big bluegill?
A sign of good things ahead......I didn't expect it to be as good as it was though.........

That's very interesting. Sounds like once the receding / falling tide gets some momentum from the wind, fish react much the same as they do on outgoing Lunar Tides. Appreciate the info. Thanks.
You're right on Bill.........take today for example......we had four days in a row of prevailing southerly winds which had the water pushed in........water will immediately begin receding when that wind goes slack but overnight we got a shift to Northeast and the water starts getting pushed out..........if you're able to time these changes, especially during the spring and fall it can turn an average trip into a great one.........we worked points and ambush locations today drifting baits right into the face of the fish and it was busy........incoming tide doesn't work as well in my opinion because the fish have pulled off for low water and are slower to return.......
It's always great when a plan works out better than expected! Jeffrey, I'm only familiar with the Lunar Tide Cycles (every 6 hours) of our ocean, bays & tributaries here locally, could you explain how the falling / rising Wind Tides work in those Coastal Rivers? Do Northerly winds push water out = falling Tide, and vice versa for Southerly winds? I always wondered how that worked.
Thanks,
Bill
Thanks guys......we had a plan we thought would work based on recent success but it turned out even better when we caught the water falling...........
Nice wide body.
An outstanding start to an outstanding day. Glad you guys were able to "get into 'em"!
Bill
