Do you love big bluegill?
All Thirty Three Black Crappie Today Were Tight To A DUck Blind.....
An idle Duck Blind in Three foot of water was stacked full of spawning crappie........I casted in looking for a big gill and an hour later the aggressive crappie bite wound down......many 12 to 13 Inch fish but not many pictures in a driving rain.........

The duck blinds are open if you will, just walls creating a spot to conceal your boat............These big flats have very little structure so the fish attach to these blinds every year..................just placing a minnow close enough to swim around the cover that extends into the water......

Did you shoot it under the duck blind?? You know like shooting the docks, or were they up next to the blind? It sounds like a good time.

Some days you must be prepared to change baits to catch fish that become weary........not yesterday...........I left them biting to return to a decent bluegill bite as the heavy rain showers gave way to partly cloudy skies.............

Thanks Dick........the shallow dance is winding down in most Albemarle locations but a few will still be caught until water temps stabilize above 70 degrees...................
