Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

These 80 Bluegills were caught on Old Hickory Lake in front of Flipper's Bait Shop. I caught these in 2 hours on a flyrod...I was using a chartruse #8 popper with a Ligon Bream Killer trailing about 18 inches. The popper floats and serves as a strike indicater and the bream killer sinks...they have a choice of a floater or a sinker...I catch most of them on the sinker.

Any LAKE that has an  FLIPPER's BAIT SHOP has to be a GOOD HOLE OF WATER!!!!!

Alton I can see with all your fish it had to be a splendid day one of them days you wished would never end. Fly rod in hand stringer of fish in the other and a smile from ear to ear sorta tells it all. Hope you have many more of them kinda days.
