Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

For me, without a doubt, this is the best hook out there for Bluegill bait fishing. They rarely swallow them and you don't need to "set the hook". When the fish swims away with the bait, the hook grabs the corner of the fishes' mouth! It's curved so tight that it does not get stuck in their throats, but pulls up and out toward their "lips". Great for kids too that forget to set the hook when they get a bite.

love these hooks... bought them for the kids to learn how to fish. tough to get the bait on though on the tiny ones. i found the forceps come in handy. even found that the ones that do get gut hooked the hook sometimes pulls free without tear.

My wife loves circle hooks for gills, as she gets excited and often forgets to set the hook. I have used larger ones for catfish for quite a few years now and they work real well.
