Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I hit a deer last week on the way to work. Damn thing leapt in front of me without warning and tore off my bumper.
Here's the front end stripped, awaiting new parts.

The repairs will be relatively minor:

Pull out some sections around the front

Install new radiator

Replace the bumper and sundry parts.

Finding the time is the challenge. Thanks for your supporting words and thoughts.

Glad you're okay. Those photos make my stomach ache as I have collided with 2 deer. They sure mess up a vehicle. Hang in there,

Bruce

Between us, I was really shaken up. I used to say, "Aw dang - it's only a deer. So what."

But I wasn't so cavalier about it, after the fact. I was most surprised at the speed and violence of it. One second I'm driving along and within a split second - literally - I was smashing into a big-assed doe. Before I got out the last two letters of a four letter curse word, it was over. Deer gone, pieces of my grill trailing off behind.

I can see now where people can react badly and end up hurt - or worse - in deer strike accidents. I am considering a front grill in the future, one made of welded 1/4" steel.
