Oooo..very nice little beauty. Love the light colors during the winter time.
Tony, the day I stop taking fishing advice will probably mean the end is near.......I've taken a lot of tidbits from the hard water gang here and applied the theories in the cold open waters in my region.......haven't set the house on fire during the winter but never complain when I can figure out a pattern that catches a few fish.......it's never about the numbers for me anymore rather the satisfaction of solving the equation to catch fish on that day........the biggest challenge is getting the time to go on these short days but time marches on as they say......
And I remember when you pretty much used to hang it up in the wintertime........told you!
Thanks Carl........not as many opportunities to fish during the winter for me.....shorter days and working 7 days a week at times.......translation is wet a line when you can.....
NICE AND HEAFTY GILL JEFF!!! NO DOUBT YOU WILL KEEP ON CATCHING THESE GREAT ONES!!
Thanks Jim and Ken......I can count on one hand the days lost to skim ice over the past fifteen years on the Albemarle......in turn no ice fishing and by all accounts a fun way to fish......catching gills every month of the year is very rewarding.....
very nice fish Jeff... man its great your still getting tugs on the end of your line... this transition ice over hear is killing me... im really getting tired of casting the cats toy in the living room to get a tug... lol
That's a great winter fish there now!
