Wow 50 crappie in three hours that's crazy. Sounds like you had a good day as well John!
Just got back from fishing from shore for an hour .Ist fish was a nice Crappie on a MR.Twister spin Jig/Tube combo.Go figure .The only Crappie I got though .Came off a sandy /Pebbly hump in just a few feet of water. It rained before I went and I expected to catch Yellow Perch by the in flow.NOPE! Got one White Perch and a few small bass and several Gills in addition to the one Crappie .
Appreciate it John.....it's normally later in September into October for us but every once in a while you'll get surprised on a fishing trip and yesterday was one of those days.....
I hear ya Jeff .I usually only catch large numbers of Crappie in November when the cooler shallows hold them around wood cover .
Thanks for the info Jeffrey! Congrats on your excellent catches!
Three to five feet in relatively shallow water....I was surprised we got them in water that had surface temperatures in the mid 80s.....Fixed Float presentation.....
Ah ha the real thing ! Did you slip float the minnows?Curious what depth the Crappie were at!
We were having so much success on tiny live minnows John we didn't try anything else...
That's a blast Jeff. What were the Crappie hitting?
Wish you guys could have been there yesterday.....50 Crappie in just under three hours!
