I have never caught a white perch, but they sure look like fun.

White Bass are good fighters especially on light action or ultra light and especially if you get a 12 to 15 incher.

I remember way back when we didn't have white perch in Lake Erie now it's loaded. I remember being way out on the lake and all of a sudden the seagulls going crazy with the bait fish boiling on the surface. We would cast in the mix and catch 5 gallon buckets of White Bass. They weren't really fit to eat but when they come out of the smoker smoke in apple wood they were great. I guess I'm telling my age but it was fun every cast a White Bass.

Ha ha youre right Dick .White Perch always hit hard and appear to be bigger than they are! Caught several kicking the electric motor as fast as it would go trolling  a Bomber 4F and  that Shad rap.

The fish is almost as big as the crank bait.
