Do you love big bluegill?
In our region we consider 12" class Crackers as trophy panfish...........several got there today along with a dozen more 10 to 11 inch swamp crackers.....

Thanks guys.....I concur Jim that this is a spawning male and you guys are right..........no tight circles on these fish.....the bite can often be lighter than a bluegill but they dig for the bottom on hook set here........very strong fish when you get these larger specimens........you will find that they are more difficult to lip as well.....
pretty fish they fight all together different than a gill
catching 10 to 12 inch crackers!! awsome catch Jeff!! plus they fight great!!
Plus...I think this one is a male.
Good work, Jeffrey!
Hey thanks Gerome......these fish are coming out of very dark tannic waters...........the traditional yellow markings will wash out on these fish down here........
