Yes.....lots of research from local universities......especially East Carolina and North Carolina State.....I know these groups conduct salinity tests routinely to monitor and adjust fresh water release to maintain a balance for all species..........

Interesting. Wish I can check out the dissolved oxygen load during the turnovers, and check the true sources that cause the impact to the fish death. When sources found, a quick remediation tweak can prevent the fish death. Did anyone do a study on this?

A couple down pours overnight and early this morning but we should escape the second year in a row with a very early land falling Tropical System.......one of the most significant negative impacts to our region as it relates to the associated marsh turn over and concurrent fish kills.........
