Holy smoke! The main lake is 60,000 acres? No wonder this little smaller lake has so much potential. The fish population will thrive in here with such diversity broken off from the main lake. With that kind of isolation, the fish in here will thrive. When the flood takes place, the the lakes will share a commonwealth of diversity until the water drain to the point where the to bodies are isolated again. Man, this must be a killing ground for anglers.

It's beautiful....this is just a creek off the 60,000 acre lake at pool stage.....Third largest lake in South Carolina......

Nice - it was a pretty day, today. I was thinking about tomorrows fishing as I walked outside.

Wow 83 degrees !!It was warm up here in NJ for January, into the 40's in fact  and some suicidal ice fisherman survived but I wasnt one of them.

I got down to the Low Country of South Carolina this afternoon and it was 83 degrees on the 24th of January........It's been awhile since we could say that! I had to go checkout some of my old stomping grounds....Didn't fish, it's a work week with short days......Dam the bad luck!
