try making a murdock minnow!!  it calls for a varity of material!!

The beauty of the Clouser style is it's simplicity.
In the world of fly fishing that translates into versatility.

It can be tied in what must sure be an infinite variety of materials, sizes, colors... The list is probably endless. In this example, it is short, only 1.5" long. Bluegill and bass are the intended target. It is also cheap... Total cost of this one fly is about $.30!!

I'll fish it over soft bottom mix, so it should hold up for three fish... That's my minimum standard.
If I added white buck tail to the bottom, I'd get even more mileage.
