Bloody Cypert Minnows

My son is calling these "liberal" flies, because they have bleeding hearts. I just laughed!
Your basic Super Cypert Minnow with red marabou quills added behind the eyes.
I left the tail a bit longish (hook shank length); it just looks good to me that way.

The vise shoot out I saw at flyfishohio gave these pretty high marks.

Comment by dick tabbert on February 7, 2014 at 7:55pm: Yea it does rotate and I thought with the all steel construction 99.00 wasn't a bad price. I'll fined out when I use it. I will tell you the Danvise does rotate easier but that's not really a problem.

Comment by dick tabbert on February 7, 2014 at 7:24pm: I bought the Apex It was an easy sell cause it was made in the Good Old U.S.A. Seen to be more solid than my Danvise not putting the danvise down but the way it is built if I tie in a bunch of things there's a lot that gets in the way. The Apex is a straight line vise and should make tying in multiple items in easier and it still small. Ties hooks from 30 to 7/0 and can hook up to table and has a weighted stand which I think I'll be trying.

Comment by dick tabbert on February 7, 2014 at 3:35pm: I just paid .49cent for 3 foot of fine and 89 cents for 3 foot on medium and 1.29 for 3 foot of large, I think thats cheap. I got both the silver and gold but ended up buying a new fly tying vise so I did spend more than I wanted..
