Do you love big bluegill?

Sure thing Ken.....it's a fruitful time an often lasts only a couple weeks in our region because the gills pull off to the deeper channels........

Thanks again Dick.......this weekend ended up being very special on the water and you would have never guessed it as bad as the forecast looked Friday.......I normally keep my plans to the last minute........

Same gig here today Jeff. bite was good right until the front finally pushed through and them the bite just died. Got maybe 30 mix of hybrids to 9, gills to 8 and 'crackers to 10 inches , plus the big cattie, and a bunch of 'missed' strikes on live baits below bobbers. I should have had a dozen pics to post, but, hey... that's fishin'.

Not bad, though, for a public lake 5 minutes from the house.

Those are excellent coppers. I will be visiting you in '15!

You can always count on a quality bite when the water temps get pushed down from the first couple cold fronts of late summer..........
