The only reason I asked was I never seen cork that shape before unless he done a lot of work to them.
Mark;; I like your set up;; great idea using clothspins.. I have; used masking tape; slit cut a few places; painted it; came out looking descent; for a first try. Im still learning buddy !! and ; yea;; it does take more time; more work; to make a popping bug;; but very well worth it!! I have several bugs; to try making this winter-- great past time for a winter project ! and thanks again;; for getting me into making them !!
Dicky;; if I know Mark Stine;; those poppers are cork !! guess I need to get a air brush; learn how to use it !
Mark are the poppers foam or cork.
Very Very nice. Those are little pieces of fish catching art.
Bruce, haven't made a tutorial yet but I have shared some details on the site, Carl I use an airbrush but, favorite effects come from using netting spraying through a comb etc. This is a high tech jig I use to hold the netting on the poppers as I spray
I am inspired by some of the catalogs featuring fishing lures lots of color schemes there. Also I try to have an eye for what I'm trying to imitate.
Great looking stuff
These are available at a local bait store in Virginia and I pick a few up every time I go in........my dad and a few others in my family have done great in the Louisiana marsh on Mark's poppers.......they look even better in person..........
would love to know how you paintes these Mark;; besides with a spray gun ! what did you use for a patteren ?
