I hear you Tooty.....I had those Fliers from yesterday so everything today got a free pass to live on for next season..........I may keep one more mess of gills this season but that will be it for bluegill until next season.......It felt good to release the fish today....it's one of my favorite spots so I would like to keep the area populated with nice gills......As much as I enjoy eating gills.........I would give that part up completely for the thrill of catching big gills.....I can always find some Crappie for the taste buds!

Ya know Jeffrey you and I both have had a great year , and I am willing to end on that note .
The other day When I was up at Doc's pond I had the fish in the cooler ready to go back to TROY GROVE. COULDN'T DO IT as they were all alive , so I released em to swim and enjoy life on their terms. FELT REALLY GOOD ABOUT IT TOO!!!!!!!!! JANE and I have plenty of fish in the freezer for the winter and why kill more just because I caught em.

Now I get as much pleasure as keeping em by just taking pics of em . NOW if I had no fish in the freezer it would have been a different outcome to the end of the day. But noticed the last two years or so that I just don't like dispatching animals , or fish for that matter, for no good reason. Maybe I'm just turning into a sofftie or old foggy or something but the senseless slaughter doesn't make any sense to me at all.
I GUESS THE OLD ADDAGE OF "LIVE AND LET LIVE" means something now and am turning into a sentimental old slob!

Big tail means it designed for the chase.  This one must be in survival mode with that large tail. But the fight must be off the chart.
