Do you love big bluegill?
A standard five gallon bucket is 11 7/8" wide. He didn't quite make that but he was right at 10.5 inches and what a fight on my spin casting rig to get him out of the grass......He came ashore with a big clump of weeds on his side.......

I caught and released 11 nice Coppernose gills this afternoon but this spawning male was the best of the bunch.....We almost made it to 90 degrees here in Coastal S.C. today and the fish are responding...Most of the gills were 8 to 9 inches which makes a solid creel with the occasional big 10.........Sleepless in South Carolina Now!!!!!!
Great coppernose specimen.
