I don't know about a spawning run but in March I put tree branches around the pond and in late march and April the perch come to the branches and deposit there eggs. Then the male comes over and fertilizes them if he can find them. Haven't got any small ones yet I think the Bass and gills keep them thinned out pretty much...

This was a nice box of raccoon perch which run towards a late January/February spawn on the Albemarle waters.............

Perch hit the cleaning table this morning.....a nice mess ready for peanut oil and fine yellow corn meal.........looking forward to the tasty treat........
