Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

An old friend invited me to fish his pond and I'm glad he did.
I caught about 20 bass and then decided to try the fly rod. I caught a couple big females and a bass and then this fatty grabbed my purple and gold Tooty bug. 10+ inches and 2 ounces short of a pound if my scales are right. He told me about bass but never mentioned the bluegill.

Very nice Keith......I'm with LedHed........to take a quote from my friends on Major League Fishing......"that's looks to me to be a pound at least!"........congrats to you!

Big fish anywhere, congrats. Think your scale is off - that fish is over a pound - more like 1.25.......
