The crappie rise up to the flooded cypress in April looking for a place to spawn.........intercept them with jigs and minnows under a float.........

Thanks Bruce........I sometimes miss a fish in this area as I take it all in.......very peaceful setting as well...........most of it is three to four feet around the trees..........

I've caught spring crappie in this spot every year since 2003.........several years nearly a thousand .....it just brings in fish from a large area creating a heavy concentration
