I believe that fish is a hybrid. The body shape looks to elongated for a true White Bass. It almost looks like a young striper. I guess will have to wait for Missouri Department of Conservation to confirm it.

Awesome job Tim! Would love to get you a giant Hybrid to mount.

Attached is an article regarding a potential new Missouri state record White Bass which was caught a couple weeks ago. It weighed 6 lbs. 2 oz. It was caught below Bagnell Dam at Lake of The Ozarks, where many of my big White Bass are caught early in the spring.

Thought you guys might find this interesting. Sorry Tim, I don't know the guy, or else I'd try to get him in touch with you!

Tim- Absolutely stunning work! The White Bass is our state fish here in Oklahoma. I have caught tons of them. I have to say it is my favorite fish (next to Sunfish of course).

Thanks guys.
This was a free mount that made the list. It was caught last winter ice fishing in the St. Croix river. White plastic curly tail jigs were used to catch a bunch that day. The two anglers brought over two White Bass that made the list, this was the biggest one........

2.12 lbs. Both fish were free. Such a cool fish. Hope that I or someone else catches the next 17 1/2 incher for a new replica!

Is it real?....or is it Overbaugh? :-)

That's a live fish that Tim just caught! An Incredible reproduction. See this is what a mounted fish should look like! There is just so much bad work out there that people are happy with.
