Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Caught this bluegill from Nimisila Lake in NE Ohio. It was 12 1/8" long and 2 pounds 2 ounces. This is a fiberglass replica, the original was released in my dad's private 2 acre lake. I've seen it a few times since, when I've been over there. Not bad for an Ohio fish. Came on a weighted black ant tipped with a spike in April.

You're welcome to Nimi anytime. Got him in bay near lot C-5. And ants are great, hoping to drop some down a hole tomorrow.

Score another gill on an ant pattern (well overlook the spike...).

Its been said that if you only fished ant patterns, you'd catch a mess of bluegill.
