Thanks guys!

Keith...most of my 10-inch fish are right at that mark or up to 10.25. Last year I got over 170 in excess or equal to the 10 inch mark. But from there the numbers go way down...6 fish all year that exceeded the 11 inch mark and two hybrid sunfish that surpassed 12 inches, including a remarkable 13 incher as my PR for any sunfish specie.

So far this year I have about 6-8 bluegills at 10 and one 10.75 female and an amazing 10 7/8 inch pumkingill that I caught last week, plus an 11.25 bluegill through the ice in February. That's out of about 500-600 fish this year so far. But keep in mind I am retired and sometimes fish 4 days a week. Last year I got 4,933 gills, and only 170 or so made the 10-inch bench mark for what I consider to be exceptional fish. And here's the kicker...I catch way more 10-inch bluegills from three small public lakes than any of the private waters I fish. However, the very largest individuals came from private venues.

I have a bead on three 'new to me' lakes that are public and reported to have some bulls in them. I'll be checking them out soon as the weather warms up.

Good Luck in getting that elusive 10-inch gill!

Great fish, Jim. You got the LedHed pose pretty good on this one.

…Heck Yeah!... looks like a California fish!

we were about 42 degs yesterday... but that's going to change slightly downward with this onslaught of winter weather coming in. wont see any upward progress for at least the next 10 days.

Nice one there Jim. I just can't seem to find a 10 incher in my area. About 9 1/2 is the biggest I'm catching. Then again I don't measure all of them.
