Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Finally found 56 degree water surface temp from shore .2#14 oz. hit a plastic reaper on a 16th oz. Mushroom head jig tipped with 1/2 Crawler ,twitched and dead sticked .Fish quickly landed and stayed still when photographed .Healthy but low energy and released safely. Coincided with early developed Maple Tree buds.

This was my first ice out Bass last year Bruce.   I added it to my Best Fish 2021Album. Hoping for some ice to get out on this year. Haven't fished in a month!

Nice fish. I'm going to have to wait a few months for the water warm in PA.
