Thanks Allen and John..........many two pound class fish during the spawn Allen.........I haven't all out targeted Yellow Perch here but I have landed on a bite and caught 15 to 20 perch while gill or crappie fishing......people travel from far away to fish the Yellow Perch spawn in February down here........

That is a Jumbo! And without spawning weight? How heavy do they get during the spawn? Do you ever catch good numbers of them?

The North Carolina State Record comes from these Albemarle waters........I've caught quite a few in the 13 to 14 inch class but always in the Summer without the added spawning weight.........

Wow Jeffrey now thats a jumbo. In all the times I fished N.C. I never seen anything that big as far as perch go quality perch.
