One of my favorite local creeks close to home....still a bit stained from eight inches of rain the last week but high water and a flood wind tide set off the fish.....good time working these gills to submission.....

I agree Gerome......I catch many gills where the ear tab on a male is not easily identified, that's how dark they get.......but I've fished a lot of places and never observed water any darker than these black water rivers....the fish just have a way of adapting to their surroundings......

I know I sound like a "broken record" but Jeffrey I just find the colors on those fish to be awesome - they are just so dark!
