Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Another great Bluegill destination on my home river.

I anchor near this structure and have a good time.......

I don't fish any moving water, as around here river fishing usually means one thing... heavy line, ultra stiff rods, lead weights that top out over 1/2 lb, and reels that could double as an ATV winch. I'm talking catfishing, I don't think I know anyone who targets panfish in the local rivers, I'm not even sure how you would go about it with any finesse. Dirty, fast moving water.

Now if my rivers looked like Jeffrey's, heck yeah, I might try that! Jeff, your photos are so beautiful that I'm afraid I wouldn't get much fishing done. Truly extraordinary.

Your slack water, estuarine rivers are bound to be hot. Their bio-load alone is enough to support tons and tons of aquatic life.

Thanks Bill.....I understand where you're going.....rivers that muddy up or move too fast are not very appealing......I've got two natural lakes within 75 miles of my home but river fishing is the ticket around here.......especially when I have a dozen or so to choose from......

I hate rivers......If the rivers by me were more picturesque, maybe I wouldn't hate them so much......however, this backwater looks heavenly....:)
