Agree Tracy, years ago I would always use a wire hook in heavy cover to help get your bait back when it snagged……but we see so many big bass I made the switch……I also prefer a longer hook shank for crappie but the pop-eye will catch bigger crappie also……..

yep my son and i have landed 5-6 pound large mouth on them.  the only draw back is we break some jigs off when we hit snags.

It’s definitely my favorite commercial jig……most are not durable…….I also prefer the rigid hook vice the wire which allows me to catch many of the largemouth that hit this jig…..with a wire hook the larger bass are in full control of the situation and will often straighten out on hook set or turning the fish……
