Yes Bruce……I always live by the motto “you can’t catch fish on the couch”,….you have a chance if you try and on occasion I’ve enjoyed some success during this period but it can also be the toughest fishing challenge in my region for the entire calendar year….

Do you still give it a shot even when those temperature fluctuate so much?

Thanks Bruce….it was a perfect fall day….we normally don’t get all four seasons in coastal North Carolina so it can turn at any point, our biggest problem locally in October and November is big swings in water temps, often greater than ten degrees in a day…..fish are very inactive during these cycles……but you can’t change it, just do your best and stay safe with the lowering air and water temperatures……
