Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

We kept a nice mess of gills yesterday for Doc but we jointly released more than a dozen great gills for another thrill......

Thanks Ronnie....it was nice that both my guest Doc and I both caught quality gills on this day......it's a lot of fun when it happens like that....We caught an 11" Bull and Doc's 10.5" fish on back to back casts which is a highlight no matter where you're fishing......It will only get better as our spring weather finally gets here and stays.....We are roughly 20 days behind an average year but it will happen soon and it will be great fishing when it does....

An excellent dark knight from the depths. Great job Doc. Looks like you had a nice bout, and leaving a lasting reminder just above the ear.

Thanks Jim....Doc was happy and actually caught this nice fish after I encouraged him to cast in the same spot I caught the big 11" Coppernose pictured the same day....Needless to say I'll be revisiting this particular spot soon..
