A dive team actually told me about the remains of this old pier......most if not all pass right by it without knowing of it's existence....it's covered with four to five feet of water during normal river levels and  it simply attracts and holds fish year round.......I stopped on the way out yesterday and 10 gills and a channel cat indicated I should be back sooner than later and Fall Crappie join the party later this month........like Arnols said "I'll be back!"

Thanks Steve.......I was planning to fish until noon despite the rain but advancing thunderstorms sent me to the launch early two days in a row........the most significant condition today was the falling wind tide......fish in this area really respond as bait clusters get moved through fish holding areas.......many of the larger fish were taking the jig on the fall so the float would simply never stop.........fun morning!

    Rain didn't appear to hurt  the fishing.    Nice catch Jeffrey
