Maybe I need a little skim ice in Carolina to pile these guys up in the basins......several of my favorite deeper holes were holding big numbers of crappie mid to late January last year.........mild conditions this year so the fish have not committed to the deeper water yet...............

One year ago tomorrow.........too bad I'll be working this year!......LOL..........see what this weather does and make some plans for next weekend..........get some chilly nights the fish might push toward the basins where these were caught last year.........

Indeed Jim......we're blessed to have an abundance of Black Crappie in these waters.......some of my favorite tablefare for sure and as a pole and line guy you gotta love a slab crappie.......
