Goggle-Eyed perch were very aggressive on a local creek......high water a bit stained from recent rains.....Warmouth

Slip ...now thats a beautiful Rock bass ..no problem distinguishing what it is, we don't see
Them down in south Florida, used to really enjoy tying into rock bass when I lived up east, warmouth only thing similar this far south ....

to me the rock bass look completely different here is one male in full spawning mode

Beautiful fish. And, Paul, warmouth and rock bass are actually different species though they can look similar, the easiest way to distinguish the two is by counting the spines on the anal fin: warmouth have three spines, rock bass typically have six.
