Beautiful, Mark. Have you ever created a tutorial for these?. I've made some and they are even close to yours, but they caught a few small mouths.
love the way you paint these Mark !! thanks to you;; you have me trying to make popping bugs to !!
Mark, these are some of the very best I've seen. I'd be climbing trees to get one of those out of the branches.
That's what I always used was Createx. I probably have 30 bottle's of dried up stuff put up with the air brush.
Mark at any rate I don't think you'll run out of poppers any time soon.
Dick I like Createx acrylics because you can spray them right out of the bottle but use the Delta Ceramcoat etc. from the Walmart but has to be thinned with water.
I have a couple Iwata's put up somewhere haven't used them for long wouldn't know where to find them. I'm assuming you used acrylic with a clear coat. Nice job on the poppers.
Wow # 10 hook is my choice of size for the gills I encounter .Great creations on your part !Beautifully done!
Bruce, I will work on a tutorial,
John, my favorite hook size is #6 mustad 33903 big enough to cull out some of the smaller bream. I will some times use #8 but have never gone smaller.
Dick, I airbrush quite a bit, I mostly use a Badger SG 100 aorbrush which only holds about 4 drops of paint at a time, I also use a Paasche VL when I paint larger areas or do a big batch of poppers (I usually make 10 to 20 of the same pattern at a time). I see online that a lot of popper makers like the Copic airbrush which uses a color that appears to be a highlighter/marker.
