2 weeks i am heading to Southern IL for my annual crappie trip.We literally catch and mostly release 100s a day.All the big girls go back.We keep most fish 10 to 12.We usually get a few 16-18 inches or more every year ,they get their picture taken and quickly released. This fishery has only gotten  better now that they put a few restrictions in place.Used to be a great bluegill lake, lots of fish closed to a pound but no limits and bed fishing pretty much wiped them out.The crappies have filled that niche tho.

Crappie and bluegill should be spawning here real soon.
