Red Breasted Sunfish are on nests in the River .
The seeds in my home lake are very shallow Jim .It does seem they are on the nests before Gills also.
Looks very promising Awesome........
John...Seems that the seeds start before the gills around my area, then they might take longer to reproduce than the gills, resulting in the possibility of some hybridization. They also seem to spawn a little deeper as well.
Well of course they interbreed and nesting overlaps ,but I am wondering if the 1st ones of the two to hit the nest usually are the pseeds .It seems that way at Cupsaw lake ,but not sure if the Gills are on their nests elsewhere than where I saw the Pseeds.
Was watching the Pumpkin seeds chasing each other around their nests yesterday .I didn't see Bluegill nesting and am thinking the seeds on nests come before the Gills. Does that sound right Jim , Carl and Slip ?
…nice snap Jim!
YOU JUST HAVE TO LOVE SEEING THESE !! GREAT PIX JIM !!
