Ya from shore. Its a deep steep sided sand pit. They were all in one area. I would cast as far as I could and let it sink all the way to the bottom and then slowly start working the lure up the steep slope.

John was throwing 1/8 oz 3" white Mister Twister. One of my go to lures. Caught 10 crappies 13" to 14.5", this bluegill and 1 walleye that was probably 2 pounds.
