GREAT SET UP ON HERE!!   I EVEN PUT A COUPLE OF TRIGGER SPIN REELS ON SOME OLD FLY RODS;; WORKS GOOD TO!!

Ralph......It's like a long spinning rod...fish the same.

That lure is a 1/64th Trout Magnet jig head that I tip....usually with worm. Just a jig and float setup there.  You can fish it with swimbaits...etc.  I can fling the very small things much better with it than my other ul spinning rods.  That is a 6wt rod, I'm going to go to a 3wt and try it.

I have enjoyed the setup and the micro-spin reel very much.

I've never seen this setup before. Looks like it would be fun. Couple of questions:

Do you fish it like you would a spinning rod?
is that a fly on the end and do you just let it sink below the bobber?
Does the fly rod allow you to cast out smaller lures/flies that a spinning rod may not? I've never fly fished before. I have a micro reel, so i was curious. thanks!

Is this similar to what you are trying to do Steve?

Thanx Carl...Ken.  Luv this little outfit...light as  a feather, but I need to go to a size 3 or so for flinging the lighter projectiles.

Got out for while yesterday but the wind was 20 mph, gusting to over 50.  Anything smaller than a 1/32 oz wouldn't even stay in the water.....got 1...lol
