Jim, The redbreast get pretty big here in central texas, there are 2 lakes in Austin that an 11" is fairly common, I've seen them as big as 12.25  LBL lake has the biggest redbreast I have ever seen

In my opinion, that fish is comparable to a 15 pound largemouth bass! Wow!

Thanks guys, the state record is 2.10 pounds this one went 1.57 it could have been a lake record but didn't want to kill it. I'm going to submit it as a catch and release record for the lake.

These redbreasts are absolutely HUGE!  Now these are trophy panfish anywhere!
