A week is not enough time for swimming either. Herbicides and pesticides have certain oil to keep them afloat, and as binding agent. UV will break them down, but not within a week. Real life scenario will take UV at least 3 weeks to break down 85%. In the lab, direct UV exposure may take 2 weeks. But less than 2 weeks, I will love reading the research results. Better not be a 24 hours UV exposure at 300%.

yeah i always thought that was a joke..."NOT SAFE TO EAT FISH OR SWIM FOR A WEEK

Don't know where they got the "days" info from. Pesticides and herbicides reside in the fat and mud veins of the fish, indefinitely.

thanks Leo!

yep there is immediate pronounced negative behavior...then for a period afterwards probably because of lowered oxygen levels... weeds start rebounding ... then repeat... cycle i hate.

they say short term effect for consumption... safe to eat in a matter of days... really? is that possible?

Very nice productive haul. No side effects from herbicides and pesticides on the gills?

the edges of the original creek channel where the pads, channel were tightest to the bank produced the best numbers

thanks Jim! ... the area i fish most of the summer is a shallow mucky flat with loads of slop weeds, duck weed, and pads... insect and fly hatches all the time. last week they went thru with some herbicide and knocked most of the vegetation down except some areas of pads. guess where they were.

thanks Jeff!... quantities have been slightly down since previous years in these spots close to home but glad to see quality is inching up.
