I know this sounds strange, but vintage equipment like fiberglass rods still have a place! We can talk shop and discuss why some vintage gear is just as good (if not better) than the new stuff.

I've since found out its not a Lazy Ike or Flatfish but a BENO Lure . I think it's called a jointed EEL bait. Dont know the age ,model or production co that made it yet. Beno lures were originally made by Mill Run Tackle Co (Cleveland Ohio) who made a few other similar lures beginning around the 1960's. Great lures for Walleye , Musky and Pike in USA. Mill Run was later purchased by the Highland Group (Anglers Pride ) and in or around 1980 the rights were purchased by Luhr Jensen and were still made until a few years ago when Pure Fishing bought out Luhr Jensen. Figuring out who made BENO's is tough but can be dated by BENO markings and shape for hook hangers (whether they have cup hardware or not). These also work great in Australia on trout in freshwater. These photos are from a small collection of BENO lures that I sold a few years back. Sort of look like the Flatfish/ Lazy Ike style lures that became so popular in the 1960's and 70's.

Some more old rods folks ......HOPE YA LIKE EM!

I got it for 23 bucks. Is that a good price? It has one eye that is bent but not broken and a few scratches. The cork is perfect and looks like it never had a reel mounted on it.

I've heard Tooty talk about Wonder Rods so when I came across this one I snapped it up. Maybe the guru will see this and tell me about.
