I am in North Georgia, (Atlanta Area) and am still looking for ponds, lakes etc. to fish. I do not have a boat. Correction, I do have a 9' Creek Company pontoon boat.

Got the day off tomorrow and an invite to fish Fishing Creek Reservoir down by Great Falls, South Carolina. Finally getting a day out on the water. Will be loading the kayak late this afternoon, looking foward to some fun time. Told bluegill fishing is good there now.

Haven't fished Lanier John, but like many of the larger reservoirs, the bedding areas can take time to locate because of the water that must be covered.....I would start in the coves and cuts that shallow up and warm up faster than the rest of the lake.....Bluegill like man made structures like docks and boat ramps as well....Good Luck!

It's been almost two months since I've been able to take time to go fishing. These troublesome wind/lighting/hail/rain storms have really been keeping us busy. Been all over the Southeast, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina trying to restore power to those in need. Hopefully with no storms and a little rest, I'll get out this weekend. Mountain Island Lake here in Charlotte will be a good place to start.

We've really had some stormy and windy weather this spring. Hope all the people effected have come through all of those storms safetly. Prayers go to all of those who have suffered any loses because of these storms. Soon everything will clam down and we will all be fishing.
