YOU ARE WELCOME JEFFREY AND GLAD TO HAVE YOU IN THE GROUP ALONG WITH EVERYONE ELSE THAT HAS JOINED !!!! Youth has the tenacity to be relentless, but with AGE sometimes comes wisdom! Some of older dudes on here know when it is time to quit for the day and relish the moment and try to remember it for future long evenings in the winter time.... Personally I"m really glad for the younger guys willing to concede the fact that us old folk sometimes know a bit about what we are talking about and not just filled with hot air!!!!!! I'm myself filled mostly with hot air!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YUP VINCE me too and now I just carry note pads to write down important stuff . I used to see the bruising on old peoples hands and arms and often wondered what it was from. NOW I KNOW FIRST HAND SO TO SPEAK!!!!!!! THIN SKIN ........

I use to write notes on my hand Tooty, but with the blood thinners I take, everything I wrote looked like it was highlighted with bright purple bruises!

DDDDDDDDAVID HOW RIGHT YOU  ARE!!!!!! WHEN I call my son on the cell phone , usually around noon, he automatically says were ya going today? He doesn't ask what I'm going to do just wants to know were I'm going fishing? HE'S an old Geezer at heart but has many years of work ahead of himself before he can reach our exaulted status David!

I think the thing I like the best about being an Old Geezer is that people expect you to be fishing. Or metal detecting on a beach (essentially the same thing).

I mean face it; if you're an Old Geezer and you tell someone you like to go fishing, they will nod and say, "Oh, that's nice." The thing they don't say is, "... well at your age, I would think so."

We Old Geezers are in a uniquely enviable position - society as a whole expects us to go fishing all the time.

Who are we to refuse them?
