Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Well, people, it looks like this weekend we could have some hard water in South Central, PA. I'm hoping I'll be somewhere with a jigging rod in my hand by Saturday.

Good luck and please be safe.

I second that Bruce! Report back with success hopefully!

Great news Bruce . I got some special ice gear ordered from Cabelas that'll be coming in a weeks time .  Hopefully I'll have ice then. Here are a few items I got coming .Ever use these?    Jawjacker:  http://www.cabelas.com/product/Jawjacker-Hook-Setter-Tip-Up/1623928...

I've never seen that Jawjacker and I've never used the jigger or the rigger. That is cool stuff. Let us know how that stuff works for you.

John...I read some very negative comments about the JawJacker on a couple YouTube videos about the potential damage it could do to fish you intend to release. Other than what I saw, I don't know that much about them or what to think.

I'll keep an open mind.

Thanks Jim , ya got me thinking I've made a mistake ordering one.

I seen that John for a couple years now how about a report on what you think about it after hitting the hard water.

Will do Dick .The Jiggler sounds good for lite bite and windier conditions and portability . The Rigger in one hole and a jigging rod in a side by side hole and working both   when the fish are hitting sounds like a good deal and the Jaw Jacker I just gotta try .

John if your good with your hands and I'm sure you are there are a few home made ones on you tube one is called the clapper. Something to think about.

Yes Dick, saw and posted a  vid about making HM  jawjackers but decided to "spring" for it with two gift certs from Cabelas . Wife and sister -in-law are being nice to me!

That's a good thing.

Bruce...where would you be fishing? Is Faylors or Opossum thick enough? I don't think Pinchot St Park has ice thick enough yet. Be careful!
