Reverse Rigging for Senkos and Other Stick Worms

OK, guys... a number of members have asked about the reverse rigging for Senkos, Yum Dingers and similar style worms we used to fish on top of heavy algae and weed mats to get those explosive, blow-up strikes from quality bass during late summer. So, here are a few pics to show this simple adaption...just run the 'tapered' end of the worm in on the front of the off-set worm hook so it can glide over top of the slop easier than the blunt end.

Fish it on 20 to 30 lb Sonic Braid...work it like a scum-frog and inch it along on top of the There is still lots of hot weather bassing to do all over the map, so give it a shot at your local, weedy lake!

Here's a 12,1/2 " Smallie from the same 1000 islands trip .Took a 4" Sluggo Carolina rigged with a 1/8 th oz. egg sinker  1/6th oz slider head/hook. 20 or so foot depth, lift and drop near bottom .

This was a 16" largemouth I caught and released on a recent trip to Chippewa Bay St.. Lawrence River in the 1000 islands NY. Took a Green Salted Yum Tube /1/8th oz Jighead at about 15- 20 ' off a Bluff by the Osprey nest Buoy .The Smallies and Largemouths are heavy for their length .I believe from gorging on ubiquitous Gobies

Dragging the 4" Yum across the slop gets a 14,1/2" Largemouth. Really need to switch to braid I'm thinking .I missed/lost d 3 fish with mono .Maybe it's because I reacted too and  quickly did bad hook sets.

Hi John they are 3/0 they work great, only thing I do  is use clear goo uv on the wire weed guard where it is wrapped on the hook
